Water and Hydration Policy
We advice all participants to bring a water bottle from home. Most Arena’s will have water fountains available. To maintain safe levels of hydration, and to help avoid the spread of germs, including Meningococcal Disease, students should bring their own water bottles, or money to purchase drinks at the arena, every day.
We do not advise students to share personal drinks with other students.
Water bottles are permitted on the ice and may be used when necessary.
Check in / Check Out Procedures
On Monday morning, please arrive one half hour (30 minutes) before the scheduled start time.
All paper work must be submitted by this time, or your child will not be allowed on the ice. This includes a signed Camp Registration Form, a completed Health Form, and any special permission you are giving to have your child picked up after camp by someone other than yourself.
Each morning and afternoon, every student must check in and check out with the appointed staff member.
Bring Your Own Lunch
Each student must bring a lunch, or have money to purchase a lunch where available, every day of the camp.
Lunches brought from home must be brought to the camp in an individual cooler device.
Grievance Procedures
You may file a grievance with Greg Carter’s European Hockey School in writing by e-mail, info@gchockey.com, or by postal mail, P.O. Box 1534, Concord, MA 01742. Please indicate the camp to which you are referring, and if possible, the names of the people involved in your grievance.
We welcome any suggestions that will help make our program a more enjoyable and beneficial experience for children.
Blister Prevention
To ensure our students have the best possible experience at Greg Carter’s European Hockey Camp, we highly recommend that students take a few precautions against developing blisters.
- Bring at least one extra pair of socks each day to keep your feet dry.
- Try to break-in new skates well before the first day of camp.
- If you do develop a blister, it is important to treat it immediately. Please talk to a staff member for blister treatment advice.
- Use blister band-aids at the first sign of a developing blister.
Emergency Care Procedures
(A) Emergency Procedures
1. Assess The Situation/Make Observations:
- Is the player in pain?
- Is there a suspicion that the player has been injured?
- What, in general, are the nature and extent of the injury(ies)?
- Is there the possibility of a bone fracture?
- Is the player conscious or unconscious?
- Is the player having a seizure or convulsion? Is the player actively bleeding from any site?
2. If A Significant Injury Is Suspected:
- Do not try to move or turn the player.
- Do not try to remove the player’s helmet.
- If the player is actively bleeding, put on rubber gloves and apply direct pressure to the bleeding site using one or more sterile gauze pads.
- If the player is unconscious, feel for a pulse at the wrist, and assess whether or not the player is breathing. Do not try to arouse the player by shaking him or her. Try to make contact only by voice.
- If the player is unresponsive, has no detectable pulse, and is not breathing, institute basic cardiac life support (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) with a partner.
- If other emergency care is required, at the scene or at the local hospital, have a partner call for an ambulance (911). Do not leave the injured player alone.
- If a player has required emergency care of any kind, the player’s parent or guardian should be notified.
- An injury report form will be completed and a copy sent to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health within seven days of occurrence.
(B) Emergency Procedures If Parents Cannot Be Contacted
If the parent or guardian cannot be reached, appropriate emergency care should be administered as indicated by the situation. Further attempts should be made to notify the parent or guardian by a partner.
Procedures For Use Of First Aid Equipment
The first aid kit and manual will be maintained by the camp Health Supervisor, who will be at least 18 years of age and will be trained in American Red Cross Standard First Aid (or equivalent) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Health Records
Each camper and all staff persons under the age of 18 shall provide the following information:
- Name, home address, telephone number of parents/guardians, mobile phone number(s), and emergency phone numbers.
- Written authorization for emergency medical care signed by a parent/guardian.
- Travel location and telephone numbers if parents/guardians will be traveling during camp session.
- The name, address, and telephone number of the camper’s or staff’s family health care provider or health maintenance organization, if any.
- If the camper or staff member brings a prescribed medication from home, a written authorization to administer the medication signed by a parent/guardian.
- Copies of injury reports, if any, required by 105 CMR 430.153.
Care Of Mildly Ill Camper
(A) Plan for the care of mildly ill campers
1. With permission from the parent or guardian and the Health Supervisor, campers with mild colds may be permitted to attend camp. However, campers with a fever will not be permitted to attend camp.
2. Campers who are mildly ill but able to attend camp will be monitored by the Health Supervisor. They will be asked to go home at the discretion of the Health Supervisor should the illness become more severe.
3. Mildly ill campers may be allowed to have more frequent rest periods during the camp day.
(B) Administration of medication
1. Individuals authorized by scope of practice (such as nurses) may administer medications to campers.
2. Under direction from the Health Consultant, the Health Supervisor may administer oral or topical medications.
3. In the case of a camper with a known allergy or pre-existing medical condition for whom the Epi-Pen® has been prescribed, the Health Care Consultant may make an exception for the Health Supervisor to use an Epi-Pen®.
Discipline Policy
1. Discipline and guidance shall be consistent and based upon an understanding of the individual needs and development of a child.
2. The goal of discipline is to maximize the growth and development of the children and for protecting the group and individuals within it.
3. Behavior which constitutes discipline:
- Camper’s who behavior disturbs other participants from learning
- Fighting or abusive language on the ice
- Penalty during scrimmage
- Inappropriate behavior
4. Campers who fall into any of the above categories will be escorted off the ice to the bench, at which time they will be spoken with. A staff member will explain why their actions were inappropriate.
8. Reasons for dismissal from camp (No refund will be given if expelled from camp):
- Fighting in the locker room
- Swearing at staff members
- Stealing of money, equipment, etc.
- Continued inappropriate behavior
9. Prohibitions:
- Corporal Punishment, including spanking and touching; touching of participants is prohibited
- No camper shall be subjected to cruel and severe punishment, humiliation, or verbal abuse
- No camper shall be denied food or shelter as a form of punishment
- No child should be punished for soiling, wetting, or not using the toilet
Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is in place as we prepare for each individual camp based on registration numbers. Our overhead costs, including staffing, ice, travel, etc., is based on the number of campers signed up for that camp.
- Cancellations before May 1, 2026 will receive a refund of the tuition minus an administration fee of $50.00.
- Cancellations after May 1, 2026 will receive a credit for a future program minus an administration fee of $50.00. (this credit will not expire)
- Refunds will not be issued to no-shows or to players who leave the program by their own admission, by expulsion, or who cancel after the program begins.
- Cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled camp are non-refundable.

LEAGUES AND CLINICS CANCELLATION POLICY:
League and clinic registrations are non-refundable.
Need to cancel? All cancellations must be in writing. Refunds will not be issued to no-shows or to players who leave the program by their own admission, by expulsion, or who cancel after the program begins.

What information do we collect?

The term “outside parties” does not include Greg Carter’s European Hockey School. To modify your e-mail subscriptions, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the “My Account” section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production.
To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the “My Account” section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses & payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping.
